Exciting Merger News: HLG has acquired Folsom-based Veritas Strategic Bookkeeping Partners
August 5th, 2013
HLG is thrilled to announce yet another change: effective July 17th, 2013, the firm has merged with Folsom-based Veritas Strategic Bookkeeping Partners.
This year has presented a number of momentous changes for The Henry Levy Group. In the spring, we announced the addition of three new firm principals, a name change, rebranding initiatives, and a new website. Now, HLG is thrilled to announce yet another change: effective July 17th, 2013, the firm has merged with Folsom-based Veritas Strategic Bookkeeping Partners. This merger incorporates Veritas’ bookkeeping, payroll, and consulting services to complement and strengthen the range of accounting services we offer.

We are motivated by these new additions to our team. The HLG firm has had a longstanding relationship with the partners and staff of Veritas, in addition to a number of shared clients. We have always appreciated their high level of professionalism and expertise, and share in their desire to help clients meet their accounting and financial needs. We are grateful for this opportunity to grow and collaborate with the Veritas team, and to provide broader client services to you.
With more than 30 years of combined accounting and business operations experience, the Veritas crew has worked with small to medium-sized businesses in many sectors, including construction, technology, medical, restaurant, service and retail industries, as well as clients of service professionals, insurance and financial institutions throughout the greater Sacramento area and across the State of California.

In early-June, Natascha Verandes, former President and Managing Partner of Veritas, took on the role of Bookkeeping Manager for the HLG bookkeeping department. Shortly therafter, Antoinette Holmes, CFO and founder of Veritas, agreed to a merger with HLG. Veritas brings with it two additional supporting administrative and accounting professionals, Jennifer Ward and Tamyia Jackson.

Our combined firms will total four principals and 21 staff members. The Sacramento-based team will continue to operate from their Folsom office and work together with our Oakland office to collaborate client services.

We hope that you will share in our excitement and welcome our new team members in the days to come. As always, The Henry Levy Group remains committed to providing you with the highest quality of service and professionalism.
